MEN OF LEISURE History.

History, it is said, is written by the winners. Yet, here at Men of Leisure Limited, history is written by those of us have who never fought the war, played the game, or come to think of it, really never participated in any way!

This being said, the Men of Leisure ideal was officially conceived in the year of our Lord 1994 on a camping trip attended by five men. You see, it was on the third night of the trip that a discussion was had concerning the evils of work. There was the usual big talk of quitting jobs and realizing true potential, but then something wonderful happened. Out of this discussion there was born an idea of such pure beauty that all who were present were in awe of its sheer brilliance.

This concept, remarkably simple in nature, is that men do not need organized work to survive. As you can imagine this revelation was a breath of fresh air to our overly worked souls! We immediately all decided, with nary a complaint from anyone, that we would form an organization that would be the champion of this liberating concept.

With this triumphant decision now came a new dilemma. What would this organization be called? The task at hand was to search for the one name that would truly encompass all this movement stood for. We came up with several ideas such as the "Sons of Lethargy" and "Brothers United against Moil" (B.U.M.), but nothing seemed to convey the true spirit of our beliefs. That was until the day when a revelation occurred. That day, as fate would have it, was Labor Day 1996! Frank was in the john developing a movement of his own when the blessed event occurred.

Men of Leisure Limited was born!
